Add the festive touch in your home this season with this all-natural Christmas Potpourri. It’s not just a natural smelling perfume, but also works as a wonderful table decoration to get you in the mood for this Christmas holiday. All you need is to gather some dried fruits, Cinnamon Sticks, Clove Buds, along with some Essentials Oils to create this delightful potpourri.

Dried Fruits are easy to get from stores but if you are feeling a little more adventurous, you can dry the fruits in your own oven. You can choose from a citrus blend of fruits such as Oranges, Lemons, Limes, or Blood Orange. For a more “Christmassy” look, add in a touch of Pine Cones, Acorns, or Dried Cranberries to liven up the look along with spices such as Cinnamon Sticks, Clove Buds and Star Anise.

Though the dried fruits and spices carry their own natural scent, they will not fill up the entire room by itself. In order to create a stronger scent, you will need to blend a mix of Essential Oils to harmonize the scent of the dried potpourri. For a festive Christmas scent, go for Sweet Orange, Clove, Cassia essential oils to bring out the goodness of your potpourri!

Simply toss all the dried ingredients in a bowl and put them aside. Next, create a blend of your essential oils in a bottle, once blended, add 10 drips into your potpourri mixture to get them coated with the essential oils. Toss and turn the potpourri mixture and repeat the process of adding your essential oils to it.

Get a whiff of your potpourri, and if you feel that it is ready to scent up your place, toss it in a beautiful decorative bowl or plate of your choice. If you are thinking of creating it as a gift, place it in any mason jar or bottle, and there you have it, a handmade DIY Christmas perfume bottle.
