Menthol Crystals, also known as DL-Menthol, are extracted from mint leaves (Mentha Arvensis). It typically comes from Asia and is a clear, colorless oblong form like rock crystals carrying a typical peppermint odor.
It is completely soluble in alcohol and essential oils. With a melting point of 42-44°C (107°F), menthol crystals are easily solubilized in slightly warmed fixed oils and are used to create balms, salves, creams, foot products, scalp treatments, cooling gels, and cold remedies due to its cooling and refreshing properties.
