Himalayan crystal salt comes from the Himalayan mountain range salt mines which are approximately 5,000 feet deep. These salt mines are located around the Punjab region of Pakistan, where they have the oldest and richest salt fields in the entire world.

Himalayan salt is also referred to as pink salt, Himalayan sea salt, rock salt and Himalayan crystal salt. Chemically know as sodium chloride (NACl), it contains magnesium, iodine, potassium and several trace minerals which are important for both human and animals’ health.

Compared to our common table white salt, Himalayan salt does not contain toxin and is a much wiser option to choose for daily consumption.

HIMALAYAN SCRUB RECIPE

DIY Himalayan Sea Salt and Coconut Oil Scrub

  1. An air tight glass jar
  2. Himalayan salt (fine)
  3. Fractionated coconut oil
  4. Measuring cup

Add 1 cup of salt and half cup of oil into the glass jar. Mix both the ingredients together and let it sit for a while. After that, leave mixture in the refrigerator to cool. Always store mixture in the fridge after use. Once the scrub finishes, you can repeat the same steps to make them.
